I was having a fabulous day at my daughter's end of the school year picnic. As I was speaking with another parent, I came across a thought... in this day and ago of the information super highway and a great deal of technology we are so co-dependent on our cell phones.
If you are anything like me... then you experience a cell phone deficiency sometime during the day. I am constantly on my phone.... so therefore, my phone experiences a blackout period for a while during the day. Considering anything can happen, being without a cell phone is the worst predicament that you can be in...
Prime example last week I was involved in a minor fender bender with a bunch of idiots. Just as they hit my car, I was on the phone with zero juice left. With my luck I was able to call 911 but the operator was asking too many questions and the phone died. Luckily, I was near a public pay phone. However, what would I have done if I wasn't and needed to contact emergency services.
So my tip of the day is: Try to keep a cell phone that is not in service, even a pre-paid one, in the glove compartment in your car so this way you can contact emergency services if you need it.
